How Orthodontic Arts changed a bride’s smile in four months for her wedding day.

March 27, 2017

When Susanne came to our office for a consultation she had that wedding glow that we all know and love. We enjoyed listening to her wedding plans, which included getting married in Midtown at The Black Scintilla in Orthodontic Arts Choate House November of 2016. Did we mention Susanne’s appointment was in August of 2016? That’s right, we had four months to give her the smile of her dreams but we were up for the challenge. Everyone in the office looked forward to Susanne coming in for her appointments because we got the inside scoop of her wedding plans and enjoyed watching her smile transform by using clear brackets. As an orthodontic practice, we have the lucky job of creating smiles for the most important days of our patients’ lives. Thank you, Susanne, for letting us be a piece of your wedding journey!
See below for Susanne’s perspective of her treatment and experience at our office.

“I had orthodontic treatments and braces for 2 years as a kid, after that I was SO proud to smile. Even before “selfies” were a trend, I loved looking back on memories through pictures. Now as an adult, my smile is my first impression to colleagues and clients. Over time, my smile didn’t seem like me anymore, I noticed small changes and my friends noticed me smiling less in photos. My Husband fell in love with my ‘less than perfect’ smile but even he noticed the change in confidence. Although he loves me unconditionally, and felt no need for me to fix anything, he knew my smile didn’t feel like me anymore. He wanted me to feel as beautiful as he sees me each day. Turns out, treatment at Orthodontic Arts was the most perfect wedding gift! Thinking ahead to my wedding day, I knew I wanted to look at the sweet moments with friends and family.
I wanted the amazing photographers at Choate House to cap
ture how that day felt. I didn’t want to be self-conscious or distracted by my smile (or lack thereof).

Dr. David Birdwell and the staff at Orthodontic Arts have been amazing! I didn’t think I could fix my smile before my wedding day but they listened and were so thorough in my evaluation.  Dr. Birdwell designed a treatment plan that worked beautifully. They respected my time, genuinely cared about my goals and were honest every step of the way. I’m so thankful for the gift they’ve given back to me!

To all the future brides: Don’t wait another day, they can help you have the smile you’ll love! Your wedding day will be full of love but also chaos (just being honest). Take this item off your “wish list” and let it be one more piece of your day that makes you feel confident. Instead of diminishing yourself with a slight grin, let everyone see your brilliant smile as you exchange vows and celebrate your story.”

At Orthodontic Arts, we strive to tailor a treatment plan by listening to each individual need.  In Susanne’s case, a short time in braces achieved her desired goal. We utilize the latest proven techniques including clear braces, invisalign and sometimes a combination of the two. Schedule your first appointment to find out the best treatment for you!
