Patient Gets Dream Smile with Invisalign Before Her Big Day

What encouraged you to get invisalign with Dr. Birdwell?
I have been seeing Dr. Birdwell for my orthodontic needs for most of my life. From pulling baby teeth when I was really little, to my braces through adolescence, Dr. Birdwell has been with me through it all. When I was needing my smile straightened before my wedding (after not wearing my retainers in college-oops!), it was a no-brainer to choose him for my Invisalign implementation! He’s literally been responsible for my smile for the last 20 years.

Tell us about your experience at Orthodontic Arts.
My experience has been nothing but positive. The office is gorgeous and conveniently located in Midtown OKC, which is minutes away from where I live and work. The staff (some of whom have been with Dr. Birdwell for as long as I’ve known him) have been nothing short of professional and so friendly! They make you feel comfortable in a doctor’s office which is often really hard to do!

What would you tell a friend who’s considering getting orthodontic treatment?
Don’t hesitate – do it ASAP! Even if it’s strictly for cosmetic reasons, nothing compares to the joy that comes from being proud of your smile!

How has a better smile impacted your life?
When I was about 10 years old, I had an accident that shattered the better part of my front adult teeth. At 16, because of my accident, I had to have what was left of a front tooth removed. You can imagine how devastating that was at such a young age. My smile was a source of embarrassment and shame rather than joy. Cosmetic dentistry & orthodontics (and my lovely parents who made all of it financially possible) completely changed my life. It gave me the confidence to grin on dates, smile brightly for interviews and land a dream job. I didn’t think twice about beaming in all of my wedding pictures. None of this would have been possible without the confidence of a better smile.

Have you enjoyed invisalign? If so, tell us why!
I have absolutely loved Invisalign. It has been so easy and low maintenance. I don’t have to worry about brackets or bands and I can wear them without anyone ever noticing I have braces on. Plus, the timeline of change has completely impressed me. With each new set, I can literally watch my smile straighten and just in time for our wedding!
