Smiles That Inspire – Deuel Burk

It’s not every day that you meet a 16-year- old that is one of nine kids in his family, owns a customized shoe business AND plays for the number one volleyball team in the nation.

“I play competitive volleyball for a club based in Tennessee named C2 Attack. You can always find me in the gym grinding and every chance I get I am playing volleyball. Without family, friends, and most of all God, I would not be in the position I am today,” said Deuel Burk.

Deuel started a company called Deuelsign Customs. He customizes sneakers for a living and has been doing it for about a year.

In fact, he designed a pair of custom Orthodontic Arts sneakers for a staff member. He has a great attention to detail and loves the hard work that goes into each shoe.

“Looking into the future, my dream is to become a pro volleyball player and maybe play in the Olympics. If that doesn’t work out, I would love to get a degree in Chemical Engineering,” said Deuel.

Deuel is truly a remarkable teenager and our office feels incredibly lucky to have him as a patient. It has been a joy to watch Deuel grow up and become an outstanding person in our community.
