The gummy canted smile. How do you correct this situation without surgery? Difficult at best to get a beautiful result. A decade ago this case would require orthodontics and a maxillary LeFort surgery to impact the maxillae to show less gum tissue. Today we can use 4 Vector TADs (anchors) to impact the maxillae and avoid a costly and invasive surgery. This case took 32 months of treatment time due to the patient not deciding to fix her gummy smile until later into treatment. Treatment time in a similar case usually takes around 24 months.
